Please note: This program will no longer accept new enrollments after the Fall 2024 semester.
The B.A. in Liberal Studies: Health Foundations major prepares students for their health-related career goals. It includes core science and health fundamentals in combination with broad exposure to the humanities to graduate well-rounded future health professionals. In addition to the University core and Liberal Studies requirements, students in this major will be required to select from a list of major required electives. This list is designed to meet a broad array of interests but is centered on the intersection of science and human health. While this bachelor’s level degree prepares students for employment in a variety of allied-health/science roles, with careful planning students may use this program to help them plan for entry into a health sciences professional or graduate program. The Health Foundations curriculum was designed to meet most common prerequisites of health professional schools though individual school requirements vary.
