Students must choose 6 credits from the following list: PSY 673 Advanced Techniques in Treating Acute and Complex Trauma, PSY 674 Adv. Techniq. in the Treatment of Trauma: Children and Adolescents, PSY 727 Clinical Interventions for Combat Stress and Trauma, PSY 729 Trauma Intervention in Schools.
Note: The Advanced Trauma-Informed Counseling Certificate is only available to current M.S. Clinical Mental Health Counseling students who have completed PSY 664 Counseling Skills and Techniques prior to starting the certificate or stand-alone applicants who either hold a master’s degree in counseling, psychology, or related field or those who have the approval of the Director of Graduate Psychology Programs.
