Women's Studies Minor
The interdisciplinary minor in Women’s Studies provides an opportunity for students to examine women’s roles, contributions, and status in social and cultural contexts and to investigate a variety of disciplines from feminist perspectives. Students will gain a breadth of knowledge regarding women’s issues and an understanding of the legal, moral, and political issues confronting women today. In addition, skills including critical thinking and the ability to question prevailing assumptions will be developed, thereby promoting social responsibility. Students can choose from a variety of courses and also have the option of pursuing community service/internship for credit. Liberal Studies and Psychology Program faculty serve as advisors.
