Service & Support Animal Policy
Being mindful of health and safety concerns of the campus community, Bay Path University limits the presence of privately‐owned animals on campus (please see Animals & Pets On Campus). However, the University will reasonably accommodate persons with disabilities who require the assistance of a Service or Support animal, as appropriate.
Requests for Service and Support Animals on campus must be made through the Office of Accessibility Services along with sufficient and appropriate documentation. Each request will be evaluated on a case‐by‐case basis, considering the needs of the individual and the potential impact on the University community. Owners approved for Service and Support Animals will be asked to sign an agreement acknowledging their responsibilities for having an animal on campus. The University reserves the right to remove the animal from campus for violation of these responsibilities.
No Service or Support Animals are permitted on University property without first obtaining approval from the Office of Accessibility Services.
The University reserves the right to amend this policy as circumstances require. For more information please contact the Office of Accessibility Services at accessibility@baypath.edu.
