Active Engagement

At Bay Path University, we believe that students learn through being actively engaged in their classes, both online and on-ground.  Research supports that engagement with faculty and peers is a critical element to student persistence, academic success, and personal development.  We therefore expect students to empower one another and to encourage the active and positive participation of peers. To foster student success, we assess active engagement regularly in all classes as a component of the grade.  Faculty assess students each week using rubrics. Helpful feedback to the student is required.  Students should refer to their syllabus for further information on active engagement grading in each course.
