At Bay Path University, career development is an integral part of the student experience. Through coursework, experiential learning opportunities, faculty mentorship, internships, and leadership experiences, students connect classroom learning with practical application in their chosen fields. Sullivan Career and Life Planning Center (SCLP)

The Sullivan Career and Life Planning Center (SCLP) provides personalized career education, coaching, and experiential learning opportunities that empower students to discover their passions, define their purpose, and achieve their professional goals.

Career development at Bay Path is individualized because every student's journey is unique. Through one-on-one coaching, workshops, employer engagement, and career-focused programming, students gain the skills employers value most, including communication, leadership, collaboration, critical thinking, professionalism, and career self-management.

The SCLP team partners with students throughout their academic experience to support career exploration, professional development, and successful transitions into employment or graduate study.

Career Networking and Employer Engagement

Building professional relationships is an essential part of career success. Throughout the academic year, students have opportunities to connect with employers, alumni, and industry professionals through networking events, employer panels, career fairs, classroom presentations, and industry-specific programs.
These experiences allow students to explore career paths, gain insight into workplace expectations, expand their professional networks, and learn directly from experienced professionals.

Career Coaching

Career coaching is personalized to meet students wherever they are in their professional journey. Whether exploring career options, preparing for internships, seeking employment, changing careers, or applying to graduate school, career coaches provide individualized guidance and practical support.

Through academic coursework, leadership experiences, internships, experiential learning, career coaching, and professional development activities, students build portfolios that showcase their knowledge, skills, and accomplishments. Students also develop professional materials such as résumés, cover letters, LinkedIn profiles, and personal statements while strengthening skills in interviewing, networking, communication, research, and career planning.
